I reflect how I used to swipe my credit card without thinking how difficult to earn money.
I had my first working job in a tuition centre. The teaching life was quite easy because we were only required to follow the syllabus given and to supervise the kids with their home works. Right after I finished my pre-university exam, I worked at a newly opened McDonald's drive thru nearby my house. Although I am basically organising parties, taking orders, talking to the customers, preparing burgers, ice cream, french fries and even washed the toilets, I had so much fun with my peers. Then, I got a Google part time job to collect the Malay native voice for the Android developments.
The legal internship is my first time I working so far away from my home. The allowances given is also the lowest ever. However I consider myself paying to the company to learn the practical knowledge and experiences that is priceless. (trying to find thousand reasons to make myself feeling better *pat pat*) Notwithstanding the previous working experiences I had, my internship in a law firm helped me in character building, made me to understand the value of money and indirectly helps to curb excessive spending too!
Yesterday, I went to the Gardens MidValley to catch up with my friend. As usual we went shopping after lunch. All the dresses this season are stunning. I used to buy something I like but when I shopped yesterday, I looked at the price tag and start calculating how many hours I work to buy a dress. The dresses I love is worth more than one month salary, is it worth? NO! Chuck it.
I am becoming more and more kiamsiap (stingy) lately. I start to compare prices for my daily necessities and opt for the cheaper products. This is a miracle! I made a point to only spend 80% of my pay check (my paycheck is truly kesian) and do not touch the remaining 20%. I think it is an effective method to make sure you don't spend beyond what you earn.
In order to monitor my spending, I only joined my seniors or friends to the nice restaurants every friday. It is because every meal in KL cost around 30 bucks, I will be definitely broke and pokkai if I join them to the classy restaurant everyday. Can you imagine that I lose 4KGs in a month? hehe :D
I remembered my previous concept about money is to earn more money instead of to save more money. But I'm unable to earn that much in my current stage so I've changed my mind to save more money and keep an eye on every single cent I spent.
Do you think I'm KIAMSIAP? Anyway I think it's a good change and my parents must be very proud of me!

Although I prefer the practical gifts than the decorative or toys gifts. But I believe the best gifts are the thought and not the amount spent.
However, I saw the changing trend recently where the girls are thinking the boys is not that into them when they do not receive their desired gift. I saw a funny forum when a girl was angry after she expect to receive a more expensive gift from her boyfriend.
I noticed many of my friends are posting about their V's day gift on FB, the students are sooo rich nowadays! haha ;p

So what do you thing about these creative gifts? I think it is the best gifts if you give it from the bottom of the heart. No matter what we give, the meaningful and full of thought gifts is always the best without expecting anything in return. My friends are so loving to each other, every day is Valentine's day because they had a strong bond between each other! It is so much better compared to one of my friend who got dump from her super rich boyfriend, she is regretting of leaving her ex-ex-boyfriend due to her materialistic desire.
I think Valentine's day is a good test for all the couples in the world. The guys would definitely don't want a Gold-Digging Bitch who do not let go of the petty and material stuff like who spent more in choosing a gift.

The blow of "linsanity" has attracted me to watch basketball too! The New York Knicks' Jer had scored 38 points on Friday night against the Lakers. He has also recorded at least seven assists in each game, and he has been efficient, shooting at least 53% from the field each time. Lin has getting better and even more outstanding than Kobe Bryant on Friday night!

After many attempts and persistence, the egg is finally standing!! Even it is located at 18th floor in my hostel!
Today is very meaningful for the Chinese because it signifies the beginning of SPRING!

Today, Wikipedia goes black for 24 hours to protest the legislation being proposed by the US Congress- Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA)
SOPA and PIPA are senate bills to stop the illegal copying of movies or music, something that Hollywood studios, music publishers and many others believe is threatening their business.
The introduction of both SOPA and PIPA had raised many objections such as Wikipedia, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr because the two bills would force them to be online police and hold them responsible if users of their sites like a pirated content.
Although these bills were proposed by the US senate, however the tremendous effect may affect the Internet users all around the world. This extreme Intellectual Property protection will affect the freedom of expressions of the Internet users.
"While I support their goal of reducing copyright infringement(which I do not believe these acts would accomplish), I am shocked that our lawmakers would contemplate such measures that would put us on par with the most oppressive nations in the world," said Sergey Brin, one of the co-founders of Google.
The proposal has become a battle between Hollywood and Silicon Valley. NetCoalition said an Internet blackout would obviously be both drastic and unprecedented. We hope that the Senate will cancel its scheduled vote on PIPA and SOPA!

If I am going to Japan again, I will definitely go to Hokkaido! This is one of the few places I have never been in Japan!
Hakkaido is the second largest, northernmost and least developed of Japan's four main islands. Its weather is harsh in winder with lots of snowfall, below zero temperatures and fronzen sea, while in summer it doues not get as hot and humid as in other parts of Japan!
I am definitely interested to go during summer! The heavenly gorgeous lavender and sunflower garden amazed me! I am pretty sure my mum will fall in love with this secret garden too!!
Also, Sapporo (as the capital of the capital city of Hokkaido) offers many delicious food. Sapporo specialty food include ramen noodles, Jingisukan (grilled mutton), soup curry dishes, and lots more!
Faster brush up and refresh all my Japanese language in order to pay a visit to Hakkaido!

Chinese New Year 123 is drawing to a close as I write this, and it makes me excited! I like CNY, there are so many things I associate with CNY that I like, gathering, foodie, ang pow, relaxing etc etc!
I just went to the CNY extravaganza at president square last night, VVIP Datuk Ng came to our campus yesterday and gave a longggg lecture-about how government spent millions in creating FB page and misstated steve jobs as "jobs steve", 船到桥头自然直 as 桥到船头自然直! Bravo~ I do not think a political leader need to talk so much about their hard works, show to us your end results and don't talk lebeh.
Some recent updates, I went to soften my hair due to the grass-like split hair end. However, the hair is too straight for my liking! But it is super healthy and smooth where the comb is unable to hold my hair haha! Many of my friends saying that my hair is super flat, flat flat flattt! (thanks y'all who wishing me to get four flat ;) HAHAHAHA!
